Limerick manager John Kiely has made two changes for Sunday's Allianz Hurling League quarter-final against Clare.

Seamus Hickey returns to the side at full-back after missing out in last weekend's win over Galway due to the birth of his twin sons.

Hickey comes in for Richie McCarthy, who drops to the bench, while Kyle Hayes is set for his first start of the season at centre-forward. Hayes came off the bench to strike a goal in Salthill and replaces David Reidy in the Shannonsiders' line-up.

Graeme Mulcahy, Barry Nash and Darragh O'Donovan have all been ruled out with injury for the Shannonside derby which throws in at 2pm at the Gaelic Grounds.

Limerick (HL quarter-final v Clare): Nickie Quaid; Sean Finn, Seamus Hickey, Richie English; Diarmaid Byrnes, Declan Hannon, Dan Morrissey; Paul Browne, Cian Lynch; Gearoid Hegarty, Kyle Hayes, Tom Morrissey; Aaron Gillane, Seamus Flanagan, Barry Murphy

Subs: Barry Hennessy, Tom Condon, Richie McCarthy, Paddy O'Loughlin, Pat Ryan, David Reidy, Barry O'Connell, Andrew La Touche Cosgrove, Colin Ryan, Oisin O'Reilly, Lorcan Lyons
