Lidl Ireland's recent survey into team sport for women shows the positive effect playing sport has on the health and well-being of young women and girls in Ireland. Yet 1 in 2 young women give up team sports completely by the age of 13.

Team sports build so much more than teams. They build a solid foundation for the future. Lidl Ireland wanted to understand this a bit more, so they asked Irish women of all ages questions no one had asked them before.

When it comes to body confidence 51% of women who play sport rated their body confidence 7/10 (on a scale of 1-10), compared to 32% of women who don't play sport.
