Here are the players who stood out for us in yesterday's league final stalemate and Leinster SHC round-robin games...

1. Patrick Kelly (Clare)

The Banner number one pulled off a top class save to deny Tom Devine in the first minute of extra-time.

2. Tommy Doyle (Westmeath)

Westmeath's full-back proved to be the rock on which many an Offaly attack perished in Mullingar.

3. Cian Dillon (Clare)

Played the role of sweeper to telling effect and gobbled up plenty of stray Waterford passes.

4. Pat O'Connor (Clare)

'Bad game management' was to blame for the concession of the late equalising free according to the Tubber clubman.

5. Tadhg De Burca (Waterford)

Both defences refused to yield an inch in Thurles and it will be interesting to see who blinks first in the replay.

6. Darren Dineen (Kerry)

Carlow never got a sight on the Kerry goal thanks largely to the efforts of the Kingdom's centre-back.

7. Philip Mahony (Waterford)

Nipped a number of Clare attacks in the bud and more of the same will be expected next weekend.

8. David Reidy (Clare)

The congested midfield area was no place for the faint hearted and Reidy wasn't found wanting.

9. John Griffin (Kerry)

Along with Daniel Collins, Griffin bossed the midfield exchanges in Austin Stack Park and chipped in with three points for good measure.

10. Shane Bennett (Waterford)

The talented youngster finished as the Deise's top scorer with nine points (three from play) and asked serious questions of the Banner rearguard with his pace.

11. Tony Kelly (Clare)

Came through the 90 minutes unscathed, finding the target with three points, and will benefit from the additional game time.

12. Eoin Price (Westmeath)

As scorer of 1-5, Price was one of the standout performers on a memorable day for Lake County hurling.

13. John Egan (Kerry)

The corner-forward contributed 1-3 as Kerry made history at Austin Stack Park with an eight point victory over Carlow.

14. Derek McNicholas (Westmeath)

The full-forward's 9th minute goal sent Michael Ryan's men on the road to an eye-catching 14-point success over the Faithful County.

15. Conor McGrath (Clare)

On a day that Waterford's free takers struggled, McGrath showed them how it was done when raising 13 white flags, ten from placed balls.
