St. Patrick's GAA Club Notes

A quiet week was had on the field of play but in saying that most of our team were preparing for upcoming championship games our intermediate footballers had a good run out with O'Callaghan Mills last Friday evening were we ran out winners by 1-13 to 2-05. Our junior hurlers were also doing their preparations with a friendly against Wolfe Tones and also won with a 3-17 to 0-05 victory many thanks to both O'Callaghan's Mills and Wolfe Tones for their support in the games. Training continues for both our intermediate footballers and junior hurlers evening Monday evening at 7pm. At underage our under 10s travel out to Cahirdavin last Saturday morning for a early game at 10-30am throw in when and took part in the County under 10 hurling league after a very entertaining game we came out second best many thanks to Christopher Mortell and James Broderick for looking after this panel. Our under 16 hurlers recorded a great victory over Ballingarry in the under 16 county hurling championship last Monday evening at Rhebogue winning by a single point 2-10 to 2-09 well done to all involved. Our under 10 footballers will open their county league campaign on this Thursday evening when we will take on Adare in Adare at 6.45pm. Our under 14 footballers will travel to Ballybrown on this Wednesday evening in the county football league throw in is at 7.30pm. On this Thursday evening our junior hurlers will host Monaleen when we will meet in the City intermediate hurling championship quarter final throw in is fixed for 7.30pm. Our minor hurlers are back in championship action on this Friday evening following the break for exams when we will entertain Naomh Brid the throw in is at 7.30pm. On Saturday evening our under 12 hurlers will travel out to Cahirline to take on the home team at 5pm. Our under 12 Footballers who came out of the draw for a football blitz competition in Croke Park on Tuesday 7th of July at the last County board meeting are running a fundraiser for their trip, the young boys and Girls are selling lines for their trip please if asked try and support this event. The clubs G.A.A.Cul camp will take place between the 17th August to 21st August the cost for this camp is as follows for one child Eu55 for two children Eu100 and for three Children Eu135 to take part please contact Club Bord na nOg Secretary James Broderick at 085-1240936 or senior Secretary Eamonn Phelan 087-2807546.
