WEEKEND FIXTURES
We are due to play Drumreilly in the Division 1 League on Saturday at 3pm in Blacklion and also the Junior B Championship Final on Sunday at 2pm in Pairc Sean. It would be great to finish of the Junior Championship on a high note and I trust we will have a big support in Carrick on Sunday. Best of luck to all concerned.
SYMPATHY
The Club would like to offer sincere sympathy to the Thornton Family on the death of Mrs. Thornton, Hillside Cresent last week. May she rest in peace.
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL
In a very entertaining match on Sunday last our Junior team qualified for this years Junior B Football Championship Final defeating St. Mary's in the semi-final which was played in Drumreilly. At half time both teams went in level with Glencar/Manor 1-3, St. Mary's 0-6. The result was always in doubt up to the last minute with Pauric Kerrigan sending probably the score of the match over the bar to put us one point ahead at just the end of normal time. A foul on Damien McDermott in injury time set Niall Hickey up to score the last point of the game from a free to seal the 2 point victory. A great team performance from everyone and we now look forward to a Junior B Final against Kiltubrid. Final Score: Glencar/Manor 2-08, St. Mary's 1-09.
MINOR LEAGUE FINAL
Our 13 aside Division Two League Final takes place this Friday evening at 8.30pm under lights in Cloone. Sean O'Heslins will provide the opposition. Best of luck to everyone involved.
COMMUNITY CENTRE
Congratulations and well done to all concerned at the BEE Park Community Centre on their second place award for this years Pride of Place National Final. This was a great achievement by all involved.
