Portlaoise manager Malachy McNulty has revealed that any talk of a ten-in-a-row has been banned in the dressingroom.

The Laois side are bidding for a tenth consecutive title this weekend as they prepare to take on Stradbally in the county SFC final.

It has been a remarkable run for the town team and one that shows no signs of ending as they are strong favourites to lift the title again on Sunday.

However, McNulty stressed to the Leinster Express that the motto of taking it one game at a time is something that they implement all the time.

"Our approach to any championship is to take it one game at a time. All we've been focusing on is game by game," said McNulty.

"We've been trying to avoid furore with ten-in-a-row. We see that as a distraction. We take every game as it comes. The mood is good. We're just trying to keep it quiet and keep the feet on the ground."
