Laois footballer Colm Begley will ply his trade with his native club this year.

The former Aussie Rules star had been playing with Dublin side Parnells for the last five years alongside fellow Laois men MJ Tierney and Darren Rooney (both of who have returned to their clubs in recent years).

And Begley has resumed his club career with Stradbally which will be a massive boost for them having struggled at the wrong end of the senior championship in recent years.

However, Begley has yet to line out for his native club since his return as he is struggling with a knee injury at the moment.
