Portlaoise's Zach Tuohy has received a major award from his club Carlton.
The former Laois underage star, who signed for the Aussie Rules club in 2009, has been honoured with the John Nicholls Medal third place today. The overall winner of the John Nicholls Medal, which recognises Carlton's best and fairest player, was Patrick Cripps.
The voting system involved five members of Carlton's match committee independently submitting their votes after each round of the AFL. Each could award a maximum of 20 votes to be shared among the players of their choice.
