Martin seeks improvement

Clough-Ballacolla manager Kevin Martin is confident that his side have more left in the tank ahead of the county SHC final.

Martin watched on as his charges booked their place in the county final with a well-earned win over Borris in Ossory last weekend.

Two goals at pivotal times of the game helped Clough-Ballacolla to their first final appearance since 2012.

The former Offaly hurler and All-Ireland winner was delighted with the win, but stressed to the Leinster Express that there was certainly more to come from the players.

"Yeah, the two goals were the difference, we grafted well, I don't think we've played our best hurling yet, but hopefully, we'll click for the final."

Clough-Ballacolla will now face Camross in the final with the latter already winning a meeting between the sides earlier in the campaign and Martin knows it will be a tough battle against them.

"Camross have beaten us already in the championship and we'll be going in as underdogs, we'll have to battle really hard to win it."
