Kilkenny's Division 1A trip to Cork was the feature match tonight as the 2015 national hurling league commenced with three mouth-watering encounters.
The new-look Cats were sure to get a warm welcome to Pairc Ui Rinn, where they began their four-in-a-row bid against a very strong-looking Rebels side.
It was a fantastic match, as were tonight's two Division 1B games: at O'Moore Park, Laois entertained neighbours Offaly; while Munster rivals Limerick and Waterford went head-to-head at the Gaelic Grounds.
All three matches threw in simultaneously at 7pm and were closely contested throughout as the league commenced with a bang.
