Former Kildare footballer and Longford manager Glenn Ryan will manage Laois side Arles Kilcruise in 2015.

Ryan who had a glittering career in the white jersey of Kildare managed the Kildare under-21s to Leinster glory before managing Longford for four years.

The former All-Star takes on a side that last won the Laois SFC in 2003, which was their one and only time to win the championship.

Their main aim in 2015, will be knock Portlaoise off their perch as they go in search of an historic nine-in-a-row next year.
