Cribbin ratified in Westmeath

November 04, 2014

Tom Cribbin

Tom Cribbin has been appointed as the new Westmeath football manager in succession to Paul Bealin.

The Clane native was ratified by delegates and handed a three year term. An experienced intercounty manager with Laois and Offaly, Cribbin also served as a Kildare U21 selector a couple of years ago.

Tonight's meeting was the third time that a manager was proposed by the Westmeath board, with both Bealin and then Peter Leahy rejected by delegates.

The appointment tonight means that all the intercounty senior football management vacancies have now been filled.
