Portlaoise 2-14
Arles-Killeen 0-9
Portlaoise's vice-like grip on the Delaney Cup shows no signs of loosening after they cruised to an 11-point victory over Arles-Killeen at O'Moore Park.
Arles-Killeen, who were seeking to make amends for last year's final defeat, started the better with Paul Kingston's point helping them to an early 0-3 to 0-1 lead.
But with Cahir Healy outstanding, 'The Town' bagged the last six points of the first half to take a 0-7 to 0-3 lead into the break.
The champions gradually extended their advantage after the restart before Arles-Killeen introduced Brian 'Beano' McDonald with 20 minutes remaining. But the former county star failed to make an impact as late goals from Paul Cahillane and substitute Ricky Maher sealed an emphatic win for the green and whites.
