Rathdowney-Errill manager Conor Gleeson was full of praise for his players after they cruised to victory in last Sunday's county SHC final.

The 2012 champions brushed aside the challenge of defending champions Camross to claim their fifth county title in nine years.

"It's a fantastic win, but we would have taken a point. We played well on the day, Camross are a better team than that but things didn't go for them on the day, but sometimes that happens," Gleeson states in the Leinster Express.

"We were going to be delighted whatever way we won, and we happened to win comprehensively."

Rathdowney-Errill now have a number of weeks to prepare for the Leinster club SHC as they face the winners of the Dublin championship on November 2nd.
