Laois manager Seamus Plunkett is adamant that they will not be taking the Leinster SHC round robin series for granted.

Following an impressive league campaign that ended following a spirited display against All-Ireland champions Clare in the NHL quarterfinal last Sunday, the O'Moore County are favourites to come through the round robin series against the likes of London, Carlow, Westmeath and Antrim.

However, Plunkett played down their chances when speaking to the Leinster Express and stressed that they will be fully focused on each game.

"We are looking forward to a Leinster Round Robin in a couple of week's time," said Plunkett. "That's a very, very tricky route for us."
