Banner on way back to Laois

April 02, 2014
Clare will be lining out in Laois in a couple of weeks time, but on this occasion, it is in aid of a charity match.

The All-Ireland champions are due to play Wexford at Rathdowney on Sunday, April 13th in aid of the Robbie Phelan Fund.

The Laois youngster is suffering from a condition known as Hurler Syndrome, which takes its name from a German paediatrician called Gertrud Hurler and not our national game.

Clare were fortunate to come away from Portlaoise with a win last Sunday as Laois pushed them all the way in their NHL quarterfinal.

However, the Banner are sure to draw a big crowd to the fundraiser with entry to the game at €5 and there will be a raffle for tickets to one of Garth Brooks' concerts in Croke Park.
