Welcome to what was another busy afternoon of GAA action as the Allianz NFL reached the penultimate stages, while the quarterfinals of the hurling league also took place.

There were plenty of promotion, play-off and relegation placings to be sorted in the four divisions of the football league and we kept you up to date with all the action.

In Division One, there were three games down for decision as Cork met Tyrone, Kildare faced Derry and Westmeath took on Kerry at Cusack Park.

In hurling, we had six top flight games in total as the four quarterfinals see Limerick played Galway; Wexford hosted Kilkenny; Laois entertained Clare and Cork traveled to Semple Stadium to face Tipperary in what was the tie of the round.

Alongside those four games were the Division 1A relegation play-off between Waterford and Dublin at Walsh Park, while the Division 1B relegation play-off saw Antrim play Offaly at Ballycastle.

Meanwhile, in the Division 2B relegation play-off, Armagh play Fingal.
