All Ireland FInals- Who Will Win?
I believe that the Senior game will be the highest in quality but unfortunately the lowest in terms of entertainment. Cork will be comfortable. Clare should just pip it in the Intermediate which should be exciting. The Junior Final though has all the makings to be a classic. You have two teams who should be in the Intermediate grade at least and have played each other a number of times over the past year with Derry winning twice and a draw. London beat our girls (Wicklow) in the Semi's and we played Derry in the league. I'll plump for Derry in this one.

Ladiesgaelic.ie
As I've attempted to reply the shutdown was due to the board being infiltrated with unsuitable adult material.

Should Valerie Mulcahy Have Been Red Carded?
I am one for strict discipline on the field of play and a strong advocate of respect of referees and officials and their decisions. However I was appalled by referee Liam McDonagh's decision to red card Valerie with 40 seconds left to play on Saturday.
maybe on the spur of the moment she did 'mouth off' about his decision to award a free aginst her, but who doesn't? Any normal referee should be able to cope with a player expressing a momentary comment of dissatisfaction - especially when this was probably an expression of her own foolishness at committing a transgression rather than directed at the referee for awarding it.
Common sense must appply in such situations and a simple word in Valerie's ear would have sufficed. As one commentator expressed afterwards "It was a weak yellow card offence at best".
I hope the referee will admit to as much in his report and that Valerie can take her place on the team in Croke Park on All Ireland Final day - any other outcome would be a pure travesty.

Leitrim Withdrawl From Senior Championship
An absolute disgrace.
Have ye no pride in Leitrim.
Ye win the Intermediate and probably now want to go Junior again.
I hope the Ladies Football authorities wont allow this but-----.
Better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all is my motto.
Shame on ye Leitrim.
Ladies football has just taken a step backwards just when it was going forwards again.
Credability is everything.

I think Lurgan have a really good chance this year. They have being nearly there for the past few years now and think that they'll do it this year!

Clare Ladies Shock Down
Congratulations to the Clare ladies team on their shock but deserved win over Down in Athlone. Goals win matches an the brilliant Clare forwards bagged four. Wasn't Clare captain Louise Henchy magnificent. Surely she is on the shortlist for an All Star in 2008 and as for Majella Griffin and Eimear Considine - words don't describe their talent for the game. Donegal beware The Bannerettes are back in business.
