St Ciaran's Ballygawley 1-16
Our Lady's Castleblayney 2-5
There was quality and a clinical edge to the St Ciaran's performance at Emyvale on Saturday as they collected Ulster under 20 title number three with a solid eight point win over a fancied Our Lady's Castleblayney .
Underscored by 1-7 from Chloe McCaffrey and 0-7 from Maria Canavan the Tyrone side dominated this decider in front of a massive crowd, they led by a point at the break after a keenly contested first half. Erin Hamills goal helped Blaney cancel out St Ciaran's five point lead, the Tyrone side also guilty of eight first half wides.
Eight points though without reply after the restart sealed this one for St Ciaran's, Canavan, McCaffrey and Bronagh McAleer tagged on scores at ease as Shannon Stevenson and Meabh Corrigan snuffed out the Blaney attack. Sorcha McCague and Hamill plugged away and they did pull a goal back through Hamill although McCaffrey rattled one in at the other end and that was that.
A fine win for St Ciaran's who had plenty in the tank by the end
St Ciarans: Chloe McCaffrey 1-7, Maria Canavan 0-7, Shauna Stevenson and Bronagh McAleer 0-1 each
Our Lady's: Erin Hamill 2-1, Sorcha McCague 0-3, Jayne Drury 0-1
