Country singer Declan Nerney will be the centre of attention when Longford take on Antrim in Sunday's All-Ireland junior ladies football final at Croke Park.

As sponsor of the Longford team, the Drumlish crooner's silhouette - complete with guitar - is emblazoned on the front of the blue and gold jersey. Nerney agreed to back the team when Longford couldn't find a sponsor at the start of the year.

Declan's niece Una Foden (nee Healy) of The Saturdays fame saw her beloved Tipp claim All-Ireland hurling honours at Croker earlier this month and it remains to be seen if he will be celebrating too after Longford's clash with the Saffrons.
