Aisling Doonan registered a remarkable 3-10 as Cavan scored a runaway TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC qualifier victory over Down in Clones today.

At the final whistle the scoreboard read 10-25 to 0-3 in the Breffni County's favour as nine players made the scoresheet for the winners.

The game was over as a contest at the halfway stage as the team in blue and white turned around for the second-half with a 5-14 to 0-1 lead.

The contest was only three minutes old when Catriona Smith struck for the first Cavan goal and Rosie Crowe, Beth Farrelly-McGee, Aisling and Geraldine Sheridan also got in on the goal scoring act for the winners

Roisin O'Keeffe, meanwhile, sent over eight points from right half-forward.
