Ladies Football is experiencing a consistent and rapid growth in the number of players and teams taking part in Higher Education competitions. 

Registrar Pat Ring, speaking after managing UCD to an O'Connor Cup win over Queens at Belfield, explained the latest developments: "The number of teams affiliating every year is growing. We're getting new colleges in every year and we're up to nearly 1,700 (players) registered this year. We're adding one hundred (new players) consistently every year."

UCD will take on DCU this week in an all-Dublin decider to see who qualifies for the O'Connor Cup weekend.
