It's probably fair to say that yesterday was one of the best days of Clare Conlon's sporting life.
A hectic day for the talented Mountmellick lass began in the Aviva Stadium where she lined out for Raheny United in their Women's FAI Cup final victory over UCD Waves. After that, it was straight on to Clane for Sarsfields' Leinster ladies football club final against Na Fianna of Dublin.
With the soccer decider having gone to extra-time, Clare wasn't included in the Sarsfields starting line-up, but she came on five minutes before half-time and helped the Laois champions to a 1-9 to 1-7 win, securing her second medal of the day in the process.
