Kerry Ladies updates

April 15, 2014
Kerry minor ladies defeated Limerick in the first round of the Munster Ladies Minor Championship on Saturday.

In a restructured competition Kerry will at least be guaranteed 2 games, last year Kerry & Cork faced off in a straight final, which was no good to both teams. It was a stuttering performance in the first half with Kerry slow to settle. Limerick took advantage of this & also played with the strong breeze. However Kerry's Aisling O'Connell settled Kerry with a goal & Kerry nerves seemed abated. Half time score Kerry 2-06, Limerick 1-02. Kerry took the field in a more determined manner in the second half & made the breeze count scoring some fine long range scores. In the end Kerry saw out an embattled Limerick Full time score Kerry 4-14 Limerick 3-06. Kerry face Tipperary next on Saturday 19th in a Tipperary venue TBC. Tipperary will present a much tougher task, as Tipperary schools have reached nearly every schools final this year across all grades, so that will filter down to inter county teams also no doubt.
