The Kildare County Board have been given the green light to begin work on Phase One of development at St Conleth's Park, Newbridge.

Club and County Board officials were informed of the news at a meeting this week.

Phase One will comprise of the upgrading of the existing dressingrooms and clubhouse buildings.

There will be three phases in total with Phase Two comprising of pitch improvement, increased pitch size and improved boundary enclosures.

Phase Three will comprise of demolishing the existing stand and constructing a new one.
