Kildare manager Cian O'Neill is in no doubt that Kevin Feely will have a massive year for the county.

Having returned from a soccer career in the U.K. the Athy clubman has thrown in his lot with the Lilywhites this year, having starred at minor and under-21 level in the past.

Feely has been touted by many as having a great future with the county, and his manager is the latest to give the youngster a ringing endorsement.

"We saw nothing (against Offaly) that we did not know from the camp what the lad can do and what he is capable of but of course you have to have evidence of it and I think we saw the evidence that Kevin will be a huge player for Kildare this year and going forward."

Kildare go into the three-week break with two wins from two and in prime position to make a swift return to Division Two next year.
