John Brennan from Carlow fought off stiff competition to be crowned the MBNA Kick Fada All Ireland champion for 2007 on Saturday 8th September at Bray Emmets GAA Club with a winning kick of 67 metres.

A shining light
Finals weren’t particularly kind to Gillian Bennett on the inter-county scene during 2006, but the Seneschalstown player enjoyed a memorable success during September when she won the ladies’ section of the Kick-Fada competition hosted by the Bray Emmets GAA Club in Wicklow

Ruddy wins MBNA Kick Fada
A kick of 62 metres from former Mayo goalkeeper Fintan Ruddy was enough to beat Mark Herbert in the MBNA Kick Fada.

Kicking up a storm
With the annual MBNA-sponsored All-Ireland Kick Fada, Bray Emmets GAA Club in Wicklow is certainly onto a winner. The Long Kick competition has raised the profile of this pro-active seaside club and also provides a welcome cash injection, which is being used wisely to boost juvenile activities. The positive knock-on effect is already being felt.

Long-time Faithful County ’keeper Paraic Kelly had a lot on his mind in mid-September last and while the weekend in question brought mixed fortunes, he did end up being an All-Ireland champion for his troubles!

Kelly on top again
Offaly goalkeeper, Paraic Kelly, has retained his MBNA Kick Fada title with a winning kick of 63 metres at Bray Emmets GAA Club in Bray Co. Wicklow. The ladies competition was won by Irene Munnelly from Meath with a 45 metre accurate kick.

Dublin footballer Mark Vaughan is the latest player to be confirmed for Saturday’s MBNA Kick Fada at Bray Emmett’s GAA Club in Bray Co. Wicklow which will feature stars of Inter county football from all over the country shooting it out for the All Ireland title.
