Kieran Donaghy's first SuperLeague basketball game in six years ended in disappointment last night.
Star's much-anticipated comeback ensured the Mardyke Arena in Cork was full to capacity as Irish TV Tralee Warriors took on UCC Demons. Donaghy, who won an Intermediate National Cup with St. Brendan's earlier this year, scored 15 points and made some clever assists, but couldn't save Tralee from a 92-77 defeat.
American Jacob Lawson top-scored for the winners with 23 points, while Kyle Hosford and Ciaran O'Sullivan grabbed 17 and 15 points respectively.
TweetThis fella killed me tonight and tried to jump over me for the dunk. Thank god he missed. A nice welcome from the Demons support. #warriors pic.twitter.com/VkeFYoUV1Z
