Glasgow women's gaelic sports festival enters its fourth year

The fourth annual feile na mBan, Glasgow womenís celtic sports festival organised by the Tir Conaill Harps GAC is now inviting clubs from throughout Ireland and Britain to register for this yearís event. Once again the festival will return to Glenconner park in the cityís Garngad area and will run over three days from 2nd to 4th October and will include ladies football, camogie and primary schools coaching and workshops.
This year the club have enlisted the Euro Hostel, Glasgow as a partner and they are offering accommodation at special rates for visiting teams. The hostel is also the venue for the festival hooley and is located in the heart of Glasgow city centre, which is less than fifteen minutes drive away from the venue for the sporting activities.
The aim of the festival is raise the profile of women's sport both within the club and also to the wider Glasgow community to increase participation in ladies football, women's shinty and camogie. The club also hope to encourage more women to become active in the club in coaching and administration.
