Ballygunner manager Denis Walsh has no qualms about his team's loss to Na Piarsaigh in last Sunday's Munster SHC final.

The Limerick champions stepped up a gear in the second half to run out seven-point winners and kept their amazing record of never having lost a provincial senior hurling championship match intact.

Walsh admitted to the Waterford News & Star that their opponents were the better team in the second half.

"They moved up a gear after half time and they deservedly won," said Walsh. "We weren't able to contain them. We had a fair idea what was coming but we just didn't have the physical power.

Philip and Pauric (Mahony) were huge losses and David O'Sullivan missing from the middle of the field at that period was crucial. I would say it was a four or five point game realistically."
