Waterford and Galway march on in the All-Ireland SHC, here's our team of the week from yesterday's two quarter-final clashes ...

1. Colm Callanan (Galway)

The Tribesmen's goalkeeper pulled off a fine save in to thwart Patrick Horgan in the 55th minute.

2. Paul Schutte (Dublin)

One of Dublin's better performers, that will be of little consolation to Schutte as he surveys the wreckage of their championship campaign.

3. Cian O'Callaghan (Dublin)

The Metropolitans full-back endured a testing afternoon but he didn't let his head drop.

4. Padraig Mannion (Galway)

Mannion and his defensive colleagues will have to be on their toes when they take on Tipperary in the last four on Sunday, August 16th.

5. Aidan Harte (Galway)

The maroon and whites' number five was an influential figure when it came to cutting off Cork's route to goal.

6. Tadhg De Burca (Waterford)

When Waterford got more bodies behind the ball in the second-half, De Burca excelled in the sweeper role.

7. Daithi Burke (Galway)

Can Burke and his team-mates end Galway's 27 year wait for a Liam MacCarthy Cup success?

8. Jamie Barron (Waterford)

The Fourmilewater player put his team on a forward footing at every given opportunity in Thurles.

9.  Austin Gleeson (Waterford)

His influence grew as the game progressed and his converted sideline was one of the highlights of the 70 minutes.

10. Cathal Mannion (Galway)

The Ahascragh-Fohenagh ace was a constant thorn in the side of the Cork defence and raised seven white flags for Anthony Cunningham's charges.

11. Shane Bennett (Waterford)

The 18-year-old repaid manager Derek McGrath's faith in him with a display that belied this tender years.

12. Jonathan Glynn (Galway)

Exposed chinks in the Cork defence in the very first minute with a superbly taken goal and tagged on two points for good measure.

13. David O'Callaghan (Dublin)

'Dotsie' couldn't be faulted for effort and he fired over three points for Ger Cunningham's outfit.

14. Maurice Shanahan (Waterford)

Not a bad day at the office for the Waterford full-forward who shot 1-12 as well as setting up Bennett for the opening goal.

15. Jason Flynn (Galway)

Three points was a satisfactory return on a day when Flynn and the likes of Mannion and Glynn proved that there is more to Galway than Joe Canning.
