Jackie Tyrrell has apparently been ruled out of Kilkenny's All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Waterford through injury.
The Irish Independent is reporting that the All Star corner back will miss the local derby clash on August 9 after suffering a stress fracture of the foot during training on Saturday, which is expected to sideline him for up to four weeks. Tyrrell brings huge experience to a Kilkenny squad that suffered a raft of retirements at the end of last season, and news of his injury is a major blow to them as they seek to retain their All-Ireland crown.
Richie Power is also doubtful for the Deise clash after undergoing knee surgery a few weeks ago.
