Colm Bonnar believes the potential face-off between Seamus Callinan and JJ Delaney could decide who wins next month's All-Ireland SHC final.

Tipperary and Kilkenny will do battle for the Liam McCarthy Cup at Croke Park on September 7th and Bonnar - who won All-Irelands with the Premier County in 1989 and '91 and currently manages Ballyhale Shamrocks in Kilkenny - reckons the mouth-watering Callinan / Delaney duel will go a long way towards deciding the destination of hurling's most-coveted silverware:

"Seamus Callinan is in great form for Tipp at the moment. He's after becoming a real leader on the field and he's like Lar Corbett was four years ago," he states in The Irish Examiner.

"He's done well in all the games so far but JJ Delaney has ruined many a reputation before now and it should be a pivotal match-up.

"Over the last five years, Kilkenny are the team who have troubled Tipp most. In saying that, they'll be the favourites and all the pressure to win will be on them."
