ERIN - HOGAN STAND
TOP SCORER PRESENTATIONS
NOVEMBER 2006

The presentation of the 2006 Erin Hogan Stand Top Scorers awards took place in the Green Isle Hotel at the end of November. On hand were the cream of the GAA’s sporting stars who made the headlines for setting scoreboards alight during the year.
The overall winners in football and hurling were - Conor Mortimer of Mayo and Henry Shefflin of Kilkenny respectively. With a fantastic tally of 1-32 Mayo’s Mortimer was three points clear of Cork’s James Masters (1-29), who was the Munster football winner.
The top scoring footballer in Ulster was Derry’s Paddy Bradley (2-20) while Laois’ Ross Munnelly (2-22) and Mattie Forde (1-25) of Wexford were tied as the top scoring Leinster footballers.
An overall total of 2-46 claimed the hurling award for the peerless Henry Shefflin, who also took the award in 2004.
Antrim’s Brian McFall (2-6) was the top scoring Ulster hurler while the awards for Connacht and Munster went to Ger Farragher (1-22) and Tipp’s Eoin Kelly (3-38) respectively.
