Scarriff's focal point

Located in East Clare over looking Lough Derg, the club was first established in the late 1890's; it recorded its first senior victory in 1907 beating local rivals O' Callaghan Mills. During the early 1900's Scarriff proved themselves to be a major force on the senior club scene winning two senior county titles.

Established in 1888 Rathmore have in the past and continue in the modern day to contribute greatly to the Kerry football team. They have supplied some outstanding players to the county for selection such as John Saunders, Tom O’Sullivan, Declan O’Keeffe and Aidan O’Mahony.

St. Saviours GAA club Waterford

St. Saviours GAA club is located on the Ballybeg housing estate on the outskirts of Waterford City, this housing estate has approximately nine hundred houses and the club is centrally located at its centre. With a National School located only five hundred yards from the field there is a natural gravitation from the School to the Club grounds.

New facilities in Cork

On a recent visit to Cork City, I called into St Vincent's Hurling and Football club; I was met by Club Secretary Vincy Stokes after an impressive tour of the clubs grounds and facilities Vincy had this to say. "In 1943 St Vincent's Hurling and Football club was founded to promote Gaelic games in the Blarney Street and Sunday's Well areas on the North-West side of Cork City.

Gaelic games are in a very positive place with regard to technical advancements going into 2008. Skills are being enhanced and fine tuned through various modes, the GAA s Fun Do packs are a great source of new and bright ideas for coaches and trainers at under age level which when put into practice will ensure training is a fun and fulfilling past time not to mention educational on many levels.
