Kraft Foods today announced the renewal of the Cadbury sponsorship of the GAA U21 Football Championship for another 3 years. The renewal builds on a successful 7 year partnership between Cadbury and the GAA which has seen the Championship go from strength to strength with greater TV coverage now than ever before and over 20,000 fans attending the final in Croke Park last year. This success has been built on innovative sponsorship activation especially in the area of new media which has seen an ever increasing engaged audience of GAA fans participate in the Championship discussion. Anybody know of potential winners this year? Armagh won the minor grade three years ago, Galway have a few from last year's team (the two midfielders who were brilliant last year) and I hear Kildare are supposed to ahve a strong team....not much talk of Kerry yet, good management team in place though! 3SeptemberRoad (Kerry) - Posts: 99 - 22/02/2012 16:46:18 1116134 Link 0 |

Cavan will be hard beat and Dublin too. Galway will be very good with players from last year and some promising minors too . Mc_Attack (Cavan) - Posts: 20 - 22/02/2012 18:25:12 1116205 Link 0 |

Tyrone very strong this year. Backboned by the 2010 minor team. Will be very hard to stop. Goals_Will_Come (UK) - Posts: 375 - 23/02/2012 10:15:24 1116393 Link 0 |

Tends to be a minor panel from 2 years ago rather than the full 3 years that goes well in the U21's therefore I think Tyrone will shade Armagh in Ulster. I also think Mayo, Cork and Dublin will make the last four. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1780 - 24/02/2012 18:29:48 1117273 Link 0 |
Roscommon or Galway will win Connaught. Longford could be an outside bet, they have 13 of they're starting 15 from last years Leinster final team eligible. Oddball (Roscommon) - Posts: 888 - 24/02/2012 21:58:56 1117398 Link 0 |

Oddball I'd say you mean 13 from the panel. walkinglunchbox (Longford) - Posts: 334 - 25/02/2012 12:20:14 1117461 Link 0 |

From a Galway point of view, not very strong this year. Can't look beyond Mayo in that one. To the best of knowledge Roscommon didn't have the best of times in their Hasting Cup campaign this year if that bares any relevance on Championship football? ahsure.
