John Mullane is taking indefinite break?
Hopefully we see him back. Going by reports and posts would it seem john has lost the drive and passion for playing now with the level of expectancy of the game so high...

Lar Corbett retires
For ignorant comment by you only "hurling". Success is relative, for Galway it's beating Tipp or Kilkenny in an all-Ireland quarter final or semi final once every 5 years or so.
You haven't a clue just making sweeping statements.
Lar Corbett, Cha Fitz and mullane are massive losses to hurling, that's the big issue here.
Can you imagine if say Bernard Brogan, Gooch and Darran O'Sulivan all retired how be a loss would they be to the football championship.

John Mullane is taking indefinite break?
30 is now the retirement age for inter-county hurlers, and even plenty of club hurlers. It cant be easy for the like of Mullane to keep going, as you say a tradesman has it hard enough at present. And to make it worse, you get a barrage of criticism when you dont play well or get beaten. It is a pity that the commitment levels have got to such a level that players can neither have a social life nor a holiday for about 10 months of the year.
I can see why these lads would have had enough.

John Mullane is taking indefinite break?
Was on Radio1 sport at 7 2nite he said he hopes to be back before the championship alright.
Sounded very disillusioned with it though talking about the level of commitment involved nowadays ect.. he works for himself as a tradesman and has 2 small kids so cant be easy in the current environment. Didnt sound like him I hope the hunger isnt waining. Also interesting to hear when he said he wasnt one bit surprised to hear Lar retired given the commitment required nowadays

SSN are running a coaching expose on Saturday mornings, however, I have yet to receive a response to an email sent to them over a month ago about Gaelic Games in Britain and, since I'm in Yorkshire, about our games in Yorkshire.

1107551 Britain would be a good place to start, there's already a fairly healthy GAA scene in England but that can grow and I don't see why Sky Sports couldn't take it on during the summer months when the championship is in full swing and there's no English soccer on.
Money. Simple as that

Joe Bergin Scores 0-16 - Highest personal tally in one game?
ok lads i should have made my point clearer... 5-8s and 2-12s and scores like that are all big totals but lets change it to the amount of times scored as in(5-8 being 13 times)... Thats a different story!

Can't see why people would moan about paying €10. We're not that bleeding hard up, yet!

Hogan Cup 2012
No not really. Just saw them in League Final and All Ireland Final. Very strong spine. I feel cbs will win it after extra time by 3 or 4 points. Will be spectacular game though . Any team line ups yet?

Hogan Cup 2012
@fredrickwood- I saw them in the all ireland final last year and the league final this year as a neutral and they do seem to have a strong spine. I feel its going to be a spectacular game and going to extra time but i just have a gut feeling (with the way cbs have performed in last two years) that they will walk it by 3 or 4 points. Does anybody know the team line ups for the game?

Britain isn't the only other country on the planet, so there is probably more than only one way it can happen.

Joe Bergin Scores 0-16 - Highest personal tally in one game?
Can we broaden this to players who have scored three goals in a croke park game . I know of three . Bomber liston v Dublin , lar cor v kk and our own Hugh Emerson in a league game v Derry . Would like to know of others
