That's the thing with Kerry when they know they are inferior the mask slip's they revert to type cynical crap. They tried to start plenty of fights on Saturday night and it didn't work, in all likelihood it wouldn't have worked against that Tyrone team as they simply had your number. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 22/03/2017 20:35:56 1970135 Link 3 |
The Gooch was simply leading their defence a merry dance at the time.

Funny, I saw Cluxton grabbing Geaney, McMahon swinging an elbow to floor a Kerry man, Kilkenny getting sent off and O'Gara twice involved in nasty incidents, but no your right it was Kerry starting everything.

Think this thread will turn into a bit of a fiasco to be honest, lets hope not. GetOverTheBar (Tyrone) - Posts: 1388 - 22/03/2017 20:49:43 1970150 Link 4 |
Oddly enough, or not, the Kingdom have the worst disciplinary record in the top two divisions right now regarding giving away frees, looks like ye need a defensive coach of some sort :D

Wouldn't argue with that, our tackling is terrible at the minute, mana from heaven for Rock on Saturday.

And we have scored the most, how did that happen when the Saviours of Football are around?
KYTotalFootball (Kerry) - Posts: 280 - 22/03/2017 21:11:43 1970157 Link 2 |
Because we bring out the best in the blanket defenses plus we're fouled more :D

Regarding Tyrone giving Kerry the 'slaps' back in the day, I remember watching and asking myself why are Kerry allowing themselves to be pushed around the park. Yes you should have started some sort of physical scenarios that would have made them at least think twice, but ye didn't. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 22/03/2017 21:25:49 1970166 Link 0 |
More guff that Kerry are always the sinned and never EVER the sinners? Jesus flipping angels in the kingdom. I thought Kerry fans harping back and crying foul about 2011 were bad but still not being able to let being beat fair and square in the final TWLEVE years ago? Ha ha so sad but yet quite funny at the same time, like I said the other day...roll on the 2017 instalment :) Dubsfan28 (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 22/03/2017 21:32:19 1970169 Link 2 |

But according to your friend Jack we are cynical defensive blah blah blah yet the League Table shows we have scored 84 points to the Saviours of the Game 71. If you're being fouled more that should lead to more handy scores from frees?

Ah here, I actually like this Dublin team despite all the beatings they have given us in the recent past but pot kettle black lad. Dublin are well able to leave an elbow in as well as anybody.

If Kerry were too soft back then their cynical side has come to the fore now, their tactics when they meet a superior footballing side like Dublin is to try and rough them up to put them off their game, they done the same thing to Michael Murphy and Donegal last year, El_Torro (Tyrone) - Posts: 155 - 22/03/2017 22:22:39 1970195 Link 0 |
Ah now. Kerry had rehearsed a few dark arts themselves for that 05 final. They obviously noticed the success Armagh had in the Ulster final by grabbing Canavan's jersey and not letting go until he used a bit of force, leading to his sending off and a major turning point in the contest. I think it was Tom O'Sullivan who thought he'd try to fool a second ref with the same trick that summer. Definitely provocative if not quite starting a fight. A lot of the fouling goes on out the field too ya know, and that's where most of the cynical tackles tend to happen, to slow teams build ups down.

Philly Mac was obviously studying this final closely in his formative days ;)

Agree totally with Cinneide and Tomas O Se ,I was behind the goal that day in 2005 and I was roaring and shouting when it happened! woops (Kerry) - Posts: 2073 - 23/03/2017 11:36:20 1970329 Link 0 |
