Roll on the hurling I can't watch anymore of 15 men in their own half and being told that's great defending with hand pass after hand pass boring the life out of me. Come on cork n Tipp entertain us.

It nearly seems as though cork decided to use a sweeper and play a short game 5 minutes before the game started without ever having practised it! Sweeper has been poor and the amount of cheap ball coughed up by the backs is criminal. Cork forwards have had terrible ball but seem off form anyway

Tyrone looked to be copying Dublin's system today actually Clondalkin.

Lads, its torrential rain out there, almost unplayable conditions. Some lovely scores being taken considering.

Cork are playing to the standard that they are: a very moderate mid table Division 1B team. Except that they will be playing in 1A next year!

the amount of times hawkeye has been used again today just proves that umpires just spoof half of their calls when it's not available

True Saffron.I wonder how many games have been won by wring umpire calls over the years? How many big games were lost?Hundreds id say.

Tipp continue their recent dominance over Cork on a day not conducive to good hurling. From the throw-in the result was never in doubt.

Tipp scored some beautiful points in the first half and made Cork look like a junior hurling team.Bubbles,John & Noel McGrath and Callinan provided the artistry up front,Curran & McCormack, the muscle.

Tipp backs destroyed an abject Cork forward line, although they were feeding of scraps.Cadogan was the pick of a sorry bunch.

Cork improved in second half and Tipp dropped down a couple of gears but the game had long lost its spice before the full-time whistle. No goals was a disappointment. No real chances created by either side.

The weather was appaling. The old Munster championship atmosphere was glaringly absent.Well done to Tipp who march on to face Limerick.Cork cannot be as poor again.Or can they?Bennybunny feels vindicated to stay at home ; at least he's dry.Not a great start to championship 2016 but it's early doors and no doubt we'll be enthralled before the year is out.

I'm afraid it went just as I expected. Probably as poor a side as Cork ever had, I blame our County Board for years & years of neglect, Christian Brothers & Priests used to supply hurlers, the Board should have seen that era was over but they didn't.
Hard to know how good Tipp are, conditions were terrible today but Tipp were stronger & more skilful all over the pitch. I think they will kick on to bigger & better things from here.
As for Cork all we can hope for is a couple of handy draws to prolong our campaign as long as possible. If we make the quarter finals, I will be happy with that.

Today should be no surprise to anyone. Cork in trouble for years. No new names in the last few years.
Tipp looked good at times but I think Clare or Waterford will feel they would have the measure of them. Heres hoping that the poor fair is over now. For starters the weather couldn't possibly get any worse for hurling.

that should have been 2 red cards for the 2 players pulling helmets.hearing ger loughnane saying "it is only a yellow",he must not know anything about the sort of damage to the neck area from indiscriminate twisting of a helmet.
if podge collins was sent off 2 years ago for pulling rossi's faceguard, then so should these 2 have been.....but referee's dont send off players from tipp, kilkenny and cork.....but make an example of everybody else.
