Think it's s total disgrace that Tyrone don't talk to RTE !! Surely the Tyrone county board should have say in this situation, watched league Sunday last night and was just wondering if Harte or any of his back room didn't speak , really not good enough in my opinion, I am sure the sponsors not to happy either,,, topdownfan (Down) - Posts: 555 - 25/04/2016 09:04:06 1848885 Link 0 |
Harte and others in Tyrone have their reasons and I think fair play to them for standing up against RTE. dstuction (Donegal) - Posts: 1209 - 25/04/2016 10:06:47 1848915 Link 0 |

What's the point in having Micky Harte on he will only spout the same disingenuous tripe that he regurgitates across all other media in my opinion. offtheditch (Cavan) - Posts: 157 - 25/04/2016 10:12:57 1848922 Link 0 |

To be quite honest i believe they and Mickey Harte are dead right, fair play to them in my opinion. tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1304 - 25/04/2016 10:27:45 1848943 Link 0 |
In my opinion this has been allowed to rumble on for too long. We have to accept the MH will never speak to RTE and I'm fine for that and happy that he can justify this stance. Mickey is a stubborn man who has right on his side. However, I feel Tyrone as a county should have someone that is willing to represent them to the national broadcaster to give a pre/post match interview. Its the least fans deserve. I'm not sure of what the sponsors think, obviously it will help promote their brand but Tyrone being successful on the pitch will also do this. I know few Tyrolads and a lot of them are of the opinion that part of the deal with sponsors is that there was to be one person made available to talk to RTE ,, but Tyrone being Tyrone that has not happened topdownfan (Down) - Posts: 555 - 25/04/2016 10:35:38 1848948 Link 0 |
I think Harte is correct and he stands on his own principles. I would also add that the 'red card incident' was not replayed /discussed in any detail on television - would that happen if it was an player from an Ulster side. He/Tyrone owe them nothing so I have no issue with their stance with RTÉ. Sure RTÉ have been boycotting Antrim GAA for years now but we get on with it. Offside_Rule (Antrim) - Posts: 4058 - 25/04/2016 10:55:11 1848972 Link 0 |
Harte should maintain his silence if he so wishes. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 25/04/2016 10:58:35 1848981 Link 0 |
I fully agree with Mickey Harte and Tyrone for not talking to RTE. Fair play to them for making a proper stance against them. croker16 (Louth) - Posts: 349 - 25/04/2016 11:11:46 1848992 Link 0 |

Why the big fuss when everybody knows he will only talk a load of nonsense anyway, like all managers do afer games. Harte earns a lot of money from his speaking engagements so, if you want to hear his pearls-of-wisdom, go along to one of his engagements. However, Tyrone county board should be made to provide somebody to speak to rte after games, to speak for the team or even only talk a load of coblers. Tyrone would, no doubt, feel very agrieved if rte refused to show Tyrone games but it's a two-way-street. neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 25/04/2016 11:23:44 1849001 Link 0 |

Mickey has every right not to speak to them if he so wishes. Im not his biggest fan by any means but I do respect him for sticking to his guns on this issue. He has very valid reasons for the boycott. joncarter (Galway) - Posts: 2692 - 25/04/2016 11:33:42 1849013 Link 0 |
