Dublin being the only Division 1 team missing from the list is a glaring omission for me.

Would the Dublin team be Eamonn Morrissey + 4 from the teams from 2--5 onward?
I have read about players like the Boothman brothers from the 1961 final but never saw them play. For a lot of us, Dublin are still relatively new (or old depending on how you look at it) and don't have the same amount of names springing to mind.

Interesting that to me Kilkenny, Waterford and Clare have the strongest hypothetical 5 aside teams in those selections. Waterford always had the quality just not the quantity!

I remember John Taylor getting man of the match in a defeat to Kilkenny some time in the 80's. Kilkenny won the game 4-15 to 1-17.
Laois also had a decent team around 94/95, Kilkenny scraped past them 2-14 to 2-12 in the 1995 Leinster championship.
The knocked us out of the Centenary cup 2-9 to 2-8 in 1984. The Cup had first round games, 1/4 finals, semi & final. They went all the way to the final, losing to Cork 2-21 to 1-9.
They have always had excellent hurlers, just haven't been able to make a breakthrough of significance.
