In Sligo we have not even reached knock out stages. Last group games this weekend, with QF scheduled for weekend of 3/4 October. Hard to imagine how this can happen for a county like Sligo, where an extended Championship run ended on August 1st, and contained 3 Championship games (2 in Connacht & 1 in All Ireland series). Zero consideration given to club players in the county. County final is scheduled for October 25th!! How it takes 12 weeks to run off a championship that already had round 1 played in June is beyond me, but Im sure there is some logic to it!! sligoNo1 (Sligo) - Posts: 45 - 24/09/2015 09:34:48 1791657 Link 0 |

The first championship final in Louth is on this weekend with Clan na Gael from Dundalk talking on Kilkerley Emmets in the Inter football final. This is a North Louth derby as there is only four miles between their pitches. Kilkerley who were the Bookies favs to win it at the start of the campaign were relegated last year from senior. Both of these teams met in the group stage and it ended in a draw. It should be another close game. OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 24/09/2015 15:56:40 1791905 Link 0 |
