Just wondering what county do you like to see doing well apart from your own? turkeyplucker (UK) - Posts: 137 - 05/05/2015 12:40:02 1720340 Link 0 |

Mayo winning Sam, although I wouldn't mind seeing Galway or Roscommon win Connaught. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4979 - 05/05/2015 14:24:40 1720409 Link 0 |
If not ourselves then usually it's our neighbours so if Mayo aren't playing then it's any Connacht team then it depends who is the closest to us geographically but I have to say anybody but Dublin or Kerry, no offence but they won so many AllIreland titles you have to look elsewhere, the same with hurling it's Galway or Clare who we support but not Kilkenny or Cork again so many title riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 05/05/2015 14:32:45 1720417 Link 0 |
I doubt we'll see many on here saying Tyrone or even any country from Ulster. cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 05/05/2015 14:40:27 1720419 Link 0 |
Get why others would want anybody but Kerry or Dublin as I am a bit like that in Hurling looking for ABK , wouldn't say Ive a favourite other county , but I generally like to cheer for the underdog , therefore Ive been a big Clare and Waterford fan in hurling , in football anybody poking their head above the usual counties Id like to see doing well [ until meeting us of course ] Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 05/05/2015 14:48:33 1720425 Link 0 |
I can see tipperary making a big breakthrough in next 5 years. As munster is now the top football province competition its getting tougher to win and whoever makes it through the minefield of the munster football championship will be hard to beat in the knock out stages KY4SAM2015 (Kerry) - Posts: 898 - 05/05/2015 14:50:23 1720430 Link 0 |
Nobody. Don't like to see anyone doing well. Call that bitter if you want but as soon as we are out of the championship I don't care who wins it. mike03 (Limerick) - Posts: 2000 - 05/05/2015 14:54:37 1720433 Link 0 |
Leaving all historical winning records and bias aside - outside Dublin, i would like to see Mayo get an AI in football - theyve a great team and play good football. HenryHill16 (Dublin) - Posts: 249 - 05/05/2015 14:56:50 1720435 Link 0 |

No other team in particular, just underdogs really, I have to admit I wouldn't be one to support the neighbours, now that's not to say I support their opposition but I just wouldn't really support the likes of Dublin or Kildare in particular nor Westmeath either, I just think it keeps the rivalry better. Funny enough I don't really mind Louth or Cavan, but I don't live that end of the county so maybe that's why. Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 05/05/2015 15:05:59 1720447 Link 0 |

I watch the matches Damo. But I don't care who wins. mike03 (Limerick) - Posts: 2000 - 05/05/2015 15:37:30 1720475 Link 0 |
Apart from ourselves, I like to see the other Ulster teams doing well if its not at our expense (even Cavan!)....I would also like to see Mayo win Sam. No other team has been so close so many times. seanfinn (Monaghan) - Posts: 360 - 05/05/2015 15:41:00 1720480 Link 0 |
No one outside of Meath. Might side with the under dogs that's about it. Too many memories in the 90s of lads from Westmeath, Louth, Laois etc screaming their heads of for Dublin back when we were putting it up to them. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 05/05/2015 15:46:50 1720488 Link 0 |
Mainly underdogs, Westmeath/Wexford/Laois -and definitely ourselves in hurling and Monaghan/Sligo/Longford in football. mayo_hurler (Mayo) - Posts: 113 - 05/05/2015 15:48:51 1720492 Link 0 |
In football, I like Kerry, Dublin, Galway and Mayo CmonAymonow (Laois) - Posts: 160 - 05/05/2015 15:52:05 1720495 Link 0 |
Monaghan have always been my second team, would love to see them lift Sam one day, also quite like Galway to do well too. In Tyrone there are a few folk around, including myself, who have a soft spot for the Dubs down through the years, not in a sycophantic Down love in with Kerry kind of way but an admiration none the less. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 05/05/2015 16:07:49 1720504 Link 0 |
