Bring back the underdogs tg4

(Oldest Posts First)

Tg4 used to run a show called the underdogs can any of ye remember it? It was a great show in fairness and unearthed talent the likes of Kieran donaghy and pierce O'Neil , wouldn't it be great if they did a few more series of it!

I believe Donal McAnallen (brother of Cormac) played against the Dubs in the first game. They lost by a point. Kieran Donaghy and Pierce O'Neill as mentioned played Kerry in 2004.

If they did bring it back who would ye like to see mentoring them? Had they Seán o'donhaill and jarlaith burns and Liam mchale the last time? Great show, I'd even watch the reruns now if they put them on.

Wasn't there also a hurling version that played against KK?

What are the stipulations, you can't have played for your county at any level up to that point?

Even us yanks like what TG4 does and I definitely believe, although it could be in my imagination, that they have superior camera work/closeups that I enjoy very much, w/my terrible Irish or not I enjoy and support TG4.

I'm unfamiliar with the program but the quoted statement above got me interested so am going to take a look to see if there's any old clips laying around. Thanks I know there are places and cable carriers that can get the RTE's here in the states including my carrier but in what I don't understand, will not deliver it to my state although 5 miles away in Mass they can, but I've never seen TG4 anywhere here but I'm sure some bigger markets carry it. I'd be thrilled to see TG4 here but not optomistic
