Spring Series

(Oldest Posts First)

I See the Spring Series is in Doubt due to the differece in the Fixtures for the Dublin Footballers and Hurlers.

One uption would be for Meath v Kildare & Dublin v Donegal as a double header in the second game of the league. I'm sure there are other Fixtures other than the Hurlers which could add to the Spring Series and Spread it out to other Counties

Chriscart,

I have suggested something similar on the Dublin pages.

But will many counties give up home advantage just for the opportunity to play someone else in Croker in the League .?

By all means give other counties the option, but not sure if many will take up the option.

They'll more than likely just do a football one like this year

Some good head to heads with Ulster counties

It can be a Dub v Ulster Spring Series

dont see the reasoning behind the article to be honest
theres only 3 home football matches
one has the double header option with tyrone in football and cork in hurling
the other is donegal which will bring a big crowd on its own as will surely get a good billing
the last game is against derry which most likely be the only tough match to sell
so when you consider this year there was just footballers for four matches and got an average of 25 thousand
hard to see why anybody would consider going back to the neller with a capacity of 7 thousand for 3 matches
they have plenty of time this year now over christmas to put promotion packages in place
see no reason why could be considered in doubt

Every year we hear that it is in doubt and then it goes ahead as normal. 2015 won't be any different.

Dubs versus Ulster. Donegal, Tyrone and Derry all at Croke Park would be tremoundous occasions.

I personally would love Meath v Kildare and maybe even Meath v Westmeath in Croker. Ok its giving away home advantage for 2 games but it is also giving any new lads a run out in Croker before Championship. Agree with most above though that the Dubs on their own would still be worth a few pound to the Gaa

Kildare and Meath in Croke Park would be good to see.
