What a transformation. Looks a serious serious footballer now. A nailed on championship starter at 14 for us now. Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 14/04/2014 08:48:30 1574722 Link 0 |
His improvement seemed to start when he was playing Sigerson Cup football for DCU a few years ago, I saw him in the final and he actually looked a good footballer unlike the very raw player that we saw in 2010 and 2011 uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 14/04/2014 09:55:20 1574746 Link 0 |

Hot n Cold. Impact sub only. He would have to join a queue for the inside forward line that includes Brogan, Mannion, Costello, Kev Mc, Andrews, Rock. If he can do what he did yesterday consistently then he is in with a strong shout. The players ahead of him are more talented but there are none who are stronger. He's a key weapon in the Dubs arsenal but using him really depends on the opposition. The softly softly approach wasn't working yesterday so we unleashed the battering ram. It's horses for courses. Still inconsistent but huge improvement - his shooting, passing and running with ball in hand have come on a lot. He's even popped a few over off his weaker foot this season. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 15/04/2014 15:42:20 1575556 Link 0 |

He's an all rounder, hard as nails. Game2Halves (Tyrone) - Posts: 265 - 15/04/2014 16:43:18 1575589 Link 0 |
Has to start with Mannion & B brogan either side of him. His power is an extra option. Plan B & C doesn't have to come off the bench. Royalmartyn (Meath) - Posts: 28 - 15/04/2014 17:12:24 1575611 Link 0 |
Dublin have far too many talented forwards to consider O'Gara a certain starter. But yes, he is much improved from a couple of years ago. They really do have an embarrassment of riches up front right now. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 15/04/2014 17:27:22 1575624 Link 0 |

I agree. He seems a different player this season. I never rated him, thought he was nothing but brute strength but his recent form has been impressive. peter_venkman (Down) - Posts: 320 - 15/04/2014 20:16:13 1575717 Link 0 |
Good player, has got better. Not worth a thread yet. GetOverTheBar (Tyrone) - Posts: 1388 - 15/04/2014 20:51:34 1575736 Link 0 |
