Galway v Tipp - The game so far....

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

What does everyone make of it so far? Seems to be an awful lot of wides and scrappy enough at times. Can Tipp come back from 6 down?

Way too many wides by both teams. Galway are giving us a liveline here, they should be another 4 or 5 points ahead.

I think we can come back but we need a couple of goals like last week.

It's an enjoyable game, wides aside, to watch, it's a good manly game between two top teams.

Shocking from Tipp half forwards not winning ball again. Well done Galway game over already.

As I said people building Tipp up on the back of few league games, now they will turn to Building Galway up just like this time last year it was all Clare. When will some people cop it year after year league and championship are miles apart. KK must be jumping up and down with excitment.

It is as you say all about the championship.Doubt Kilkenny will be jumping up with excitement having seen Galway today though.

Galway were absolutely flying it today but they are capable of putting in a performance like that from time to time and not following it up. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that Tipp's performance was reminiscent of a team that had the arse run out of it that morning.......?

Hats off to Galway on a great performance. Worryingly from a Tipp point of view is that the score line flattered Galway. Galway could have easily hit us for another 2 - 4 to 3 - 6 in chances they left after them on the pitch today.

Maybe Tipp were flat after such a tough battle last week. Wexford had Tipp under serious pressure for the first 55 - 60 minutes of that game. Whereas Galway beat Limerick pulling up, Usain Bolt style in a 100m first round heat. I know am seriously clutching straws with that theory.
Whatever the reason, sometimes you have an off day where nothing goes right for you like bonnar hitting the crossbar at the end. We'll lick our wounds cos that's all we can do now.

I'm Tipp's biggest fan but can we stop with the same bs on here every time a team gets hammered "oh they must have trained really hard all week" , no on the day they got hammered cause Galway were way better. Still fancy Tipp to win the big one.

Tipp did train hard but made no secret they wanted to win the league. Galway should of won that game by way more.
The fact is Tipp failed their two big test so far, KK and now Galway. We are now third or fourth favourites for the all Ireland

Paddy power has Tipp as favourites to win in September. They have Galway as second favourites.

Galway could have won by another 8 points easy. They were excellent and like the last 2 years - wont be too far off an All-Ireland

Tipp were hit by a train - they have been in 2nd gear all during the league and it was good enough - but today it wasn't by far.

They have the best panel in the Country and will be hard to beat come Championship.

My view on the battle for Liam Mc

  • Kk/Tipp

  • Galway

  • Waterford

  • Clare/Limerick/Cork

  • Wexford/Dublin

Tipp forward line were found wanting badly today, Galway were outstanding. They really wanted it today, clever with puck outs short pass to corner back and very little high ball hit down on top of Paudie Maher who was totally out of the game today. Galway will be hard bet in Leinster but after today Munster looks wide open

Bs show me the evidence where Tipp trained hard?why would you train hard the night before a national final you badly want to win ? Are they not fit enough , like How much training do county players need? plus how could these guys get so unfit after a few months off season? crazy talk.
