I've a challenge for you. Point out where I said Kildare would win the AI?

You really are taking the defeat to Kildare badly. Its only the league. If we meet later in the year you might get revenge so it's not all that bad. You will beat Kildare again. Its probably hard for you to admit that we're better than you at the moment but it wasn't always that way and mighn't be that way in the future.

Sedico where are you going?
Facts meath are not a top ten team fact. Kildare would be probably 7/8 in country. Fact. I honestly don't care about loosing to kildare at this stage. Our main priority has to be the regeneration of this meath team and our fortunes as a whole. That will take time fact.
The best team kildare have beaten is meath fact. And to be honest at this stage that is not much to crow about.
After 5 years of this current management kildare have still failed to win even the most basic ambition of a team seeking all ire glory there provincial title.
My annoyance with this whole kildare over hyping is that where is anything to prove that kildare will go any further than a qf? There is none so whay are people getting ahead of themselfs.
The reality is that as this post says sam is between dublin, kerry, cork and I would also add tyrone to that. Those 4 teams are far superior to anything else behind them. Yes I am sure that one of them will not make it to semis and some county will produce a shock . Most likely one of mayo, down, armagh, or galway. Or maybe even kildare. But that's what it would be a shock. My only issue with kildare is this 'we are brilliant' we are the rightful all ire champs' meath men and refs robbed us.
I mean come on will yous. At least in meath we have a fair notion of where we stand. Let's have same from kildare. Yes support your county. Yes be optimistic. And to end I state yet again a 1 point defeat to kildare is the least of meaths or my worries at this stage.
You can't try to disregard someones views by putting it down to sour grapes when it clearly is not.

Typical Meath Jealousy, Kildare is in the top four just behind Kerry, Cork and Dublin. A bit of luck and they could easily win the All Ireland.

So I take it you can't point out where I said Kildare were genuine AI contenders then? Apology accepted.

You're going to have to let this Kildare thing go. Its not doing you any good. As I've already stated it was only a league game and now it's time to move on.

Well yes we in meath are so jealous of all kildares success. I mean there prolific all irelands. Ohh ok right. well hmmmm there leinsters are in ohh yeah that's right they don't have many of them either. Well I guess paddy ill just have to console myself with with our 21 leinsters and 7 all irelands and by far the sweetest of them was in 96. You do remember that don't you?

Sedico I have better things to do than go through all your top 4 team posts to point out where you and many of your county men and women said only for refs kildare would be all ire champs.

Well said royaldunn.
All that has changed in kildare in past 5 years is that they have gone from whipping boys to also runs. Well if that is what you consider success then be happy. Let us genuine contenders worry about who will win sam

So you can't point it out then. You made it up. Like you make up a lot of things of these forums. I find it amusing how when some people go on about Kildare being AI contenders you throw a strop. If you think there are only three genuine contenders why not throw the same strop when Mayo or anyone else are mentioned?

For the record I don't see Kildare as genuine AI contenders. The simple fact is that Kildare are a small bit ahead of Meath at the moment and you can't handle it.

@joebloogs - Always nice to hear from royaldunnes cousin.

Firstly let me reiterate for Royaldunne and other posters what has been said on different threads regarding Kildare's so called top four status. We have not claimed to be a top four team. It originated in the media and constantly gets mentioned here but not by Kildare fans. We are well aware that we need to beat a top four team for us to have a realistic chance of winning an All-Ireland. That is a given. So please stop repeating ad nauseam the "Kildare think they are in the top four" mantra.

And as for joebloogs 10 stating that Kildare were transformed from whipping boys to also rans let me remind you that Dublin recieved a fair few whippings and were regarded as also rans before rightly claiming an All- Ireland title last year. If people make statements then at least have the facts to back them up. For the record Kildare's biggest loss in the championship over the last 15 years was to Laois in 2004 or 2005 when we lost by around 11 points. One bad loss do not whipping boys make.

I had a chat with Paddy Power earlier on and this is how he ranked them

1. Kerry 9/4
2. Dublin 4/1
= Cork 4/1
4. Tyrone 9/1
5. Kildare 10/1

He has poor auld Meath ranked in at No. 11

Nothing. That is the answer. Waste of time even talking about them they are just not that good at all.

I don't know royaldunn but he made a good point and your response to be honest was childish to say the least. Kildare have not won a all ireland since 1928. Count how many dublin won since kildares last victory. And even for that fact you can throw mayo, meath, louth, cavan, and a host of others.

Also run is a victory for kildare

I cant see Kerry winning the AI this year. Despite their decent league campaign, i think the current team maxed out last september in the final.

Correct

Liam you would honestly put kildare ahead of tyrone. And throw in mayo and down both who have beaten dublin? Your making my bet on dublin retaining ai look uneasy with that protection. It would have to be said that those 3 are well ahead of kildare.

As for meath 11 ? Wow that surprises me most in meath would rank us around mid teens.

Nope most of it is spot on just the kildare one is way off.

But come on sedico tell me why in you opinion is kildare so worthy of the hype. You or no other kildare supporter can ever give me straight answer to that one

Honestly I can't believe you are persisting with this.
