I think one thing is clear after the weekend games that Sam is between Dublin Cork and Kerry. Awesome performances from all 3 teams. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 11/03/2012 18:30:48 1126948 Link 0 |
Its the 11th of March Clondalkindub. We will talk about retaining Sam in August if we are still involved! seany16 (Dublin) - Posts: 1658 - 11/03/2012 18:42:36 1126963 Link 0 |
That's ridiculous logic on your part. So Cork had no hope of winning Sam after last Sunday in Donegal??? killer_88_ (Mayo) - Posts: 2040 - 11/03/2012 18:43:08 1126964 Link 0 |
Fairly simple... add Tyrone to that list and out of those 4... well theres not a lot between them to claim the AI 2012 jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 11/03/2012 18:46:53 1126966 Link 0 |
I agree. Maybe Tyrone as an outside bet. New hungry team. Daith (Kildare) - Posts: 1171 - 11/03/2012 18:49:05 1126970 Link 0 |

I'd put Kildare and Mayo well ahead of Tyrone at this point as well, we won't be in with a shout come September. I'd put us back along with Galway, Donegal, Meath etc. as teams that would be doing well to get an AI quarter or semi pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 11/03/2012 20:04:00 1127065 Link 0 |
Sorry pplocal yous are definitly the team to beat on current form. AthCliath (Dublin) - Posts: 4347 - 11/03/2012 20:09:05 1127076 Link 0 |
I'm not looking past our Munster quarter-final in Thurles, with a trip to Cork for the winner. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7842 - 11/03/2012 20:10:38 1127077 Link 0 |
Nonsense AthCliath, we are a division 2 side, doing well yes, but in division 2, and thats the difference. Clondalkin maybe a bit premature in his forecast but he won't be a million miles off either. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 11/03/2012 20:13:20 1127079 Link 0 |
brendtheredhand, yet might as well say yous are a division 1 side now. AthCliath (Dublin) - Posts: 4347 - 11/03/2012 20:17:42 1127084 Link 0 |
Tyrone have being going some guns so far. 8 out of 8 but do you think ye might have peaked to early brend? gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 11/03/2012 20:26:04 1127092 Link 0 |
Great display and does look promising, but early days for calls like that i think... DUB1 (Dublin) - Posts: 5583 - 11/03/2012 20:31:24 1127096 Link 0 |
Look although it is early I'd be somewhat in agreement but I would also add tyrone they are the big 4 royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 11/03/2012 20:39:47 1127102 Link 0 |
Gotmilk, this team is playing to the best of their ability and there are some tremendous footballers on that side, Peter Harte is emerging as a potential great but they are still a work in progress. The league is a great preparation for the cut and thrust of the championship and I am more optimistic about our chances than I was that humbling August Saturday evening in Croke park, but not optimistic enough to be talked up as one of the 'big four'. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 11/03/2012 20:47:47 1127110 Link 0 |
nobody seems to think kildare have a prayer now, only a few weeks ago there was a thread saying they were favourites to win leinster after their o byrne cup win over dublin its strange a couple a weeks ago we also saw a thread saying dublin were out partying too much and were way off the pace this year. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 11/03/2012 21:06:17 1127143 Link 0 |
Agree with Killer its ridiculous logic to state only 3 counties are in with a chance of winning the AI. redd (Tyrone) - Posts: 67 - 11/03/2012 21:09:07 1127150 Link 0 |
I would say that's fair comment, those 3 are ahead of the rest at the minute; it's maybe a year too soon for Tyrone. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9702 - 11/03/2012 21:18:00 1127165 Link 0 |
