Kilkenny chairman Ned Quinn has stressed that they will be ready to host the Leinster SFC quarterfinal between Dublin and Laois/Wicklow at Nowlan Park on June 4th.

A massive crowd is set to descend on the Kilkenny city venue in less than a month's time as the Dubs take to the road in the championship for the first time in a few years.

The game is a huge undertaking for the Kilkenny County Board given the size of the crowd expected in the city.

However, Quinn told the Kilkenny People that they will be ready to host the game next month.

"We will be ready," stressed Quinn. "This is a big operation for Kilkenny. In ways it is no different than staging of the hurling league final or championship clash against Tipperary a few years ago, which we did well thanks to the help of clubs.

"But every time you take on a project like this you are taking on a challenge, a challenge to get things right and to project a good image of Kilkenny and the Association here."
